We just are returning from at great weekend with our AL Bmw friends at Kinderfest in Enterprise, AL. T-18 days and the lossof job/adventure begins. Please remember to say a prayer for Melanie, her Mom, and her family.
T-6 days. I am on call this weekend and it is time to finish the packing. Everything seems ready to go. First stop will be St. Augustine to say goodbye to our friends up there, then on to oysters in the panhandle with, who-else, our Alabeemer friends.
Well, this is the second day of our adventure. St. Augustine has been a place that we have enjoyed for three years, and now is time to say goodbye to more friends. This has been a tough couple weeks. Many friends and family that, as of right now, I might not see again. Florida has been my life for 43 years and Melanies for 11. Sad leaving, but new adventure on the horizon, and a chance to see my kids and their great wives more often. Can't make the panhandle but we will see our beemer friends at Shellmound.
The weekend was great at Shellmound. On Saturday we went on a great ride up over Signal mountain and down to Pandora's European Motorsports where they provided lunch, drinks, and great motorcycles to look at. After lunch, back to shellmound, Alabama football, and fantastic BBQ and fried pies provided by Tommy and the Nenes. We finished off the night with cowboy TV, cigars, plenty of adult beverages, and Melanie crashing out of my broken chair, not alcohol related. Tailbone is bruised but today she is moving good. Today we are at our campsite north of Chattanooga.
