We know lots of back roads all over the Great Smoky Mountains, and we try to accommodate our customers with the length of tour that fits their schedule. We know of many Inns and B and B's along the route that we can choose from, and many restaurants and diners (great BBQ!) all around North Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. We like to begin our loop-tours around Helen, GA.
Helen is a re-creation of an alpine village complete with cobblestone alleys and old-world towers. The tour/area is one of the best areas in the US for riding a motorcycle. On riding day one get ready for some fantastic riding. After breakfast we will ride from Helen across Blood Mountain through Suches, along the Ocoee river, up to over 6000 feet on the Cherohala Skyway, up the Hellbender 28, and spend the night at the Fontana Village Resort.
On the next day we will tame the "Dragon". We will then take the Foothills Parkway to Gatlinburg for lunch and some sight seeing and tale telling of the Dragon. From there, 441 through the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and the night in Cherokee, NC.
After a great night sleep will be on the Blue Ridge Parkway today for some great riding. After a couple hours on the BRP, we will be at the Biltmore House for a fantastic tour. After the tour, back on the BRP for a night at the Pisgah Inn. If the Biltmore is not on your plan of things to do, there are plenty of other great roads to ride in the area.
The final riding day will be more great scenic roads on the way to Highlands, NC. Lots of sightseeing, waterfalls, and great scenery. After Highlands, morefantastic roads, through Hiawassee, GA on the way back to the Inn in Helen, GA, our Farewell Dinner, and to enjoy the year-round Oktoberfest
